What is a bridal session?

First things first, a bridal session is essentially a photoshoot where you, the stunning bride, get all dolled up in your wedding dress and we capture some beautiful shots of you. Think of a bridal session as a practice session, like a dress rehearsal for the big day! It gives you the opportunity to see exactly what it feels like to be in your wedding dress, and all glammed up ready to say “I do.” This way, you can get a better idea of how everything looks and feels, ensuring that you’re confident and comfortable on your actual wedding day.

The benefits!

Another major benefit of a bridal session is that it can save you some time on your wedding day. We all know that weddings can be a whirlwind of activity. There are so many things to do and people to see, and sometimes, the time for getting those gorgeous bridal portraits can be limited. By having a separate bridal session before the wedding, we can focus solely on capturing those intimate shots of you in your dress without the time constraints and distractions of your actual wedding day. I get it, not every bride is into the idea of having a separate session just for themselves. And that’s totally okay! But here’s the thing – you only get married once (hopefully)! So why not take advantage of the opportunity to have some stunning photos of yourself in your wedding dress?

Now, I should mention that a bridal session is an additional service that I offer. But it can be included in some photography packages in place of the complimentary engagement session. For example, the gallery below is of my girl, Megan! She chose to do a bridal portrait session a week before her wedding to help save some time on the day of the wedding.
