Engagement Session | Liz + Jake

Recently, I got to capture this super fun engagement session I had with Liz and Jake! These two are the definition of a power couple and they wanted their session to reflect their unique personalities and interests, which I love!

First Look

For their first look, Liz and Jake decided to go with a fancy outfit. We started off with a romantic picnic, complete with champagne and strawberries. It was such a dreamy setting, but little did we know that the weather had other plans for us. It was a scorching hot day, with the temperature reaching a whopping 95 degrees! But that didn’t stop these two from enjoying their time together. Then we headed down to the water for some stunning shots by the beach. Liz and Jake were such troopers, even in the heat, they looked absolutely amazing together!

Second Look

For their second look, Liz and Jake wanted to incorporate something that they love doing together – drinking coffee and playing video games! We decided to capture this fun and relaxed side of their relationship at their favorite local coffee shop…aka their house! Liz and Jake were totally in their natural element, laughing, sipping their coffees, and playing video games throughout the shoot. I have to admit, I have no idea what game they were playing, but one thing was for sure, they were having the time of their lives!

A Little Backstory

Now, let me take you on a little trip down memory lane. Liz and I go way back, all the way to our college days. We met during our freshman year at the activities fair, and she was at a booth trying to recruit members for Alpha Phi Omega, a co-ed community service fraternity. Then somehow, Liz was able to convince me to attend one of their club events in Grand Haven, MI that following week. I ended. up joining the club and from that moment on, a beautiful friendship blossomed. Liz’s passion for community service and her incredible leadership skills truly made a lasting impact on my life.

So, there you have it – Liz and Jake’s engagement session filled with love, fun, and beautiful memories for all of us. It was an absolute joy to capture their special moments and I can’t wait to see what their wedding day has in store. Stay tuned for more updates!
