Ice Skating Session | Kat + Alex

It’s that time of year again! Cold weather is here and that means winter activities like ice skating. I recently had the pleasure of photographing Kat + Alex during their ice skating session and it was an absolute blast! When Kat + Alex had the idea of heading to the ice rink for photos I was all in!

I absolutely love photographing fun and non-traditional session like this one! In the winter, it can be a bit hard to schedule sessions because it can be absolutely dreadful outside. But this is your sign to embrace the cold and schedule the session anyway! Don’t let Instagram and Pinterest convince you that the only pretty couple photos are in a flower field or on the beach. We had so much fun skating around and thinking of all the poses we could on the ice, it can get a bit complicated with skates on, but it was an absolute blast. We took a hot cocoa break halfway and captured some sweet shots at the edge of the rink, after all, what’s ice skating without a hot cocoa break? I am seriously so in love with these photos and I hope you are too!
